FAQs

  • Is there on-site camping?
    Yes! Campers can arrive onsite at 2 pm for lineup on Thursday afternoon. The line will be let in for setting up at 3 pm. Campers must vacate by Monday at 11 am. There are no electrical or water hookups. or gray water dumping. There are no shower facilities but there are restrooms. The Rec center is nearby and day passes can be purchased for using their facilities. They have showers, a pool, a hot tub and all the features of a gym. Camping is not fenced inside the liquor permit area of the festival so is not regulated by our liquor permit. Campfires are restricted to propane pits but are restricted by local Fire Regulations:
  • Where is the festival located?
    Our festival is located in beautiful Estes Park, Colorado--home of Rocky Mountain National Park at Stanley Park, on the South side of Lake Estes. 380 Community Drive, Estes Park, Colorado 80517
  • What are the festival grounds like?

  • Which passes do I need for camping?
    Sleeping in a tent or car parked in the gravel lot: 4-Day Pass + Camping Add-On Sleeping in something with wheels 20' or under: 4-Day Pass + Camping Add-On +Vehicle Pass for Under 20' Sleeping in something with wheels over 20' but not over 26': 4-Day Pass + Camping Add-On +Vehicle Pass for +20' to 26' Sleeping something with wheel over 26': 4-Day Pass + Camping Add-On +Vehicle Pass for OVER 26' A camping Add-On is per person. A vehicle pass is per vehicle and may have multiple people who have camping passes sleep in it
  • Can I bring my dog?
    SnowyGrass is dog-friendly for well-behaved dogs. You are responsible for any liability regarding your own dog. Entering the festival and camping grounds with your dog is an agreement that your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and is not aggressive or disruptive. Any incident where we deem it necessary to ask you to leave with your animal is at our discretion and there will be no refund of tickets of any kind. However, there is a veterinarian nearby with pet lodging. This may be something to consider for at least portions of the festival. There is also an adjacent dog park open to the public as well as a 4-mile walking path. Please pick up after your dog.
  • Are there special hotel rates?
    SnowyGrass is held in the middle of Estes Park's busiest tourist season. Hotels and other places of lodging get booked full early in the year, sometimes. They are not able to offer discounts in the summer. We do recommend the following hotels: Estes Park Condos Rams Horn Village Resorts Murphy's Resort Trailborn
  • What is the seating arrangement?
    General Admission is Lawn Seating. Bring your own chair or blanket or tarp. We'll have a place in the back for high-backed chairs and prefer low-backed chairs in the front. There will be reserved spaces for 10x10 canopies for our major sponsors, but allow for first come first serve placement of canopies behind that. See our festival grounds layout. VIP passes may be purchased as add-ons to access the backstage area where some seating is provided on the side of the stage in folding chairs.
  • What items are prohibited?
    NO OUTISIDE ALCOHOL is allowed inside our ticketed festival area (that does not include the camping area. Bags and person will be checked upon entry. All unsealed containers with liquids must be emptied before entering the festival area. We do not allow guns or knives within the perimeters of our privately owned and permitted event. It is illegal in the State of Colorado for you to bring in outside alcohol. A bar will be available with local beer, wine and spirits. ​ A variety of food trucks will be available on-site for your convenience. It is not strictly prohibited to bring in outside food, but we encourage you to purchase from our vendors. You may bring in sealed water or non-alcoholic beverages and outside food from trucks or your own food.
  • Where do we park?
    The nearby Events Complex has free, all-day parking. It is a short .5 mile walk down to the festival grounds. Sometimes people park alongside the road on Community Drive. We have a good portion of the Stanley Park lot reserved for Musicians, ADA permit holders, Festival campers, Volunteers, VIP pass holders, and Vendors. If you do not have a special permit issued by the festival for one of these reasons, please find other parking. Please Note: Estes Park does not allow overnight parking or sleeping in your vehicle anywhere without permit. Your camping add-on will permit you to camp overnight in our temporary campground for 4 nights. Please prepare to drop off passengers and then park, or bring a wagon to carry your stuff.
  • Is this a "picking" festival?
    There will be plenty of opportunities to pick if you are camping! The spacious grounds will have many places to jam, and it is far away from residences and lodging. ​ You can also pick during the festival anywhere outside of the festival grounds. Stanley Park is quite large. Keep in mind that the majority of the park will still be open to the public. You may get an audience!
  • Are there workshops?
    Yes! Please see the Schedule page for descriptions and times. The workshops require a Workshop Ticket and may be purchased along with festival passes or may be purchased separately.
  • Are there volunteer opportunities?
    Yes! ​ We offer a work for tickets program. Check out our Volunteer page for more information.
  • How do I get my band booked?
    Take a look at our past future lineups. Do you fit the genre, first of all? We are a Bluegrass festival and sometimes book Bluegrass-adjacent bands but not Rock bands, cover bands, jazz, blues, folk without grass. You get the picture! You can fill out a band inquiry form accessed from our site menu.
  • Can I be a Vendor?
    We are looking for select food vendors and art vendors. Find the Vendor Inquiry form in our site menu
